Judge Jonathan Young of Trenton, NJ; ethical troll

The state of New Jersey provided Arthur Bergman with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from William & Mary University School of Law.

FYI: Former Gov. Jon Corzine was duped into appointing Art as a Superior Court judge in 2006. Art did not receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater New Brunswick area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

New Jersey Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct has charged Art with engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Created an appearance of bias
  • Embarked on independent fact-finding efforts concerning details of a case pending before him
  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) inquiries into facts of a family’s trust dispute
  • Engaged in conduct that harmed public’s confidence in the impartiality of the judiciary

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Art by the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. November 2020), Art continues to sit as a Superior Court judge in Trenton, New Jersey.
