Judge Matthew Parker of Ellenville, NY; moron, repeat offender

The Judicial Conduct Commission found Matty guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Matty’s 1^st bite at the Judicial Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to accord all those legally interested in a proceeding the right to be heard according to law (aka, due process)

Apparently, Matty was under the impression that “due” process was the manner whereby the grass becomes moist in the a.m.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Judge Knopf by gifting him with a complimentary caution.

Matty’s 2^nd bite at the Judicial Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to comply with criminal procedure laws
• Failed to be faithful to the law
• Despite being told by two defendants that they were unemployed, Matty failed to advise them of their right to have counsel appointed for them
• Failed to take steps to effectuate the constitutional rights of defendants appearing before him
• Failed to ensure that the defendants fully understood the consequences of the decision to proceed without counsel
• Failed to perform one of the critical roles of a judge during arraignment
• Failed to maintain competence in the law (moron)
• Failed to act in impartial manner when dealing with parties appearing before him
• Ordered removal of a man from the courtroom for wearing a sleeveless t-shirt, without giving the man an opportunity to be heard as to his attire or ascertaining his purpose for attending court
• Violated Judiciary Law, which provides that the “sittings of every court within New York state shall be public, and every citizen may freely attend the same

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Matty by gifting him with a complimentary caution.

As we speak (ca. October 2020), Matty continues to sit as a Justice of the Ellenville Town Court in  County in Ellenville, New York.
