The state of Virginia presented Rachel Anne Hammer with a law license in 1981 after she graduated from American University, Washington College of Law.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary found Rachel guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to do so
• Committed criminal or deliberately wrongful act reflecting adversely on her honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness to practice law
• Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client interests upon termination

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Rachel by gifting her with a complimentary 60-day suspension of her law license.
