Attorney William C. McClain of Terre Haute, IN; despicable pervert
The state of Indiana presented William Christopher McClain with a law license in 1981.
For several years, Bill sat as a judge on the Vigo County Court. During his tenure on the court, the Judicial Commission found William guilty of maliciously harassing a female court employee, Laura Hauser and her family. Those charges included making obscene phone calls and vulgar letters, one of which contained a used condom.
Billy was apparently smitten with Laura in that showered her with a variety of gifts. Bill also gave her $100 cash gift and a $100 tip while she worked a second job as a waitress.
Subsequently, Laura declined Bill’s offer to go on a date to Indianapolis. Bill told her that she’d fit in well with his family. Bill was also observed parked outside Laura’s apartment in Terre Haute where he observed her with her boyfriend Jeff Reeder. Bill’s conduct caused Laura to feel intimidated since he was her immediate supervisor.
The board also concluded that Billy repeatedly lied while testifying at hearings (perjury) regarding stalking Laura and other matters.
In regards to Laura’s boyfriend Reeder, Billy thought it was cute to make calls to Laura’s father regarding her boyfriend. In one call, Billy told Mr. Hauser that Reeder was loose with women and that he would be receiving proof in the mail. Within a couple of weeks after this call, Laura received a letter from Billy at work that contained the alleged “proof” which was a used condom. In a vulgar and disgusting manner, Billy the Perv said in his letter that Laura would be able to recognize the condom as belong to Reeder.
As proof positive that Billy is a demented pervert, the Judicial Commission had a DNA test performed on the condom he mailed to Laura. As expected the test confirmed that the semen present in the condom belonged to Billy the Perv.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Indiana Supreme Court ordered that Bill be removed from his judicial office.
As we speak (ca. May 201) Billy’s law license is suspended; however, he has the right to seek reinstatement in the future. Hopefully, the Indiana Supreme Court will tell Billy to take a hike when he seeks reinstatement. |
