Attorney Christopher Bucio of Troy, OH; ethical ogre

The State of Ohio provided Christopher Ramon Bucio with a law license in 2003 after she graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Suzie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Pled guilty to one count of unauthorized use of proper, fourth degree felony
• Directed client Linda Heuker to transfer 22-acre parcel of tillable farmland to him in exchange for his agreement to represent her
• At the time of the 22-acre transfer, there was an outstanding mortgage of $2,654
• Sentenced to 5 years of community control and fined $5,000
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Improperly acquired an ownership interest in client property
• Entered into property transfer with client without fully disclosing the terms by which Chris was acquiring the property
• Failed to advise Linda to seek legal counsel before entering into property transfer agreement
• Failed to obtain informed consent from Linda to the terms of the property transfer agreement
• Engaged in an illegal act reflecting adversely on honesty and trustworthiness
• Misconduct involved multiple offenses
• Chris had a selfish motive regarding his egregious misconduct

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Chris by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.
