U.S. Judge Stephen Bough of Kansas City, MO; incompetent boob

The state of Oregon presented Stephen Rogers Bough with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.

FYI: Former President Barack Obama was duped into nominating Stevie as a U.S. District Court Judge for the Western District of Missouri in 2014. Stevie was not nominated because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Kansas City area. He received it because he had proven to be reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In one matter, Judge Bough was assigned to preside over a case involving defendant, Seneca Harrison who was found guilty of the illegal possession of a firearm.

In is infinite ignorance and incompetence, Judge Bough sentenced Harrison to 92 months in prison. Subsequently, the defendant appealed Bough’s sentencing based on his comments during the sentencing hearing that the federal judicial system “sucks” and while improperly involving himself personally in plea negotiations

In vacating Judge Bough’s sentence, the Court of Appeal stated the following in its ruling.

• “Judges should not participate in plea negotiations.”
• “Commenting on the sentencing practices of another judge and making disparaging remarks about the federal system harms the ‘public reputation of judicial proceedings’”
• “Furthermore, taking the court’s advice exposed Harrison to a higher sentencing range, which raises serious questions about fairness.”

Of course, Stevie the Incompetent Boob does not much give a damn how many times his asinine rulings are overturned by the Court of Appeal because he knows that no federal judge has ever been removed from office for being a Moron. Additionally, he has absolutely no concern for how much taxpayer money is wasted as a direct result of his gross incompetence.
