Former Judge Leonard Kachinsky of Neenah, WI; ethical ogre

The state of Wisconsin presented Thomas Allen Tansil Jr. with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Law.

The Wisconsin Judicial Commission found Lenny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as a Judge for the Menasha and Fox Crossing Municipal Courts.

  • Lacked the judicial temperament and insight into his actions that are required for a judge to preside over and manage a court
  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications with Police Chief concerning a pending court case involving driving under the influence matter
  • Misused the prestige of his judicial office to advance his private interests
  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications with Village Board Member in an attempt to discover what, if any role the Board played in filing an ethics complaint against him
  • Repeatedly engaged in irresponsible and improper conduct that was unbecoming of a judge
  • Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary
  • Failed to be patient, dignified, and courteous to litigants, jurors, witnesses, lawyers and other with whom Lenny dealt with in an official capacity

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfit sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Lenny by suspending him from the bench for three (3) years.

FYI: Despite tossing Lenny from the bench for three (3) years, the enablers for Judicial and Attorney Misfits failed to take any action against Lenny’s law license for engaging in the egregious misconduct set forth above.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Lenny practices his brand of law with the Leonard D. Kachinsky Law Office at 832 Neff Court in Neenah, Wisconsin.
