Attorney Hae Baik of Phildelphia, PA; ethical ogre

The state of New Jersey presented Hae Yeon Baik with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of law. Hae also received a license to practice law from the state of Pennsylvania in 1994.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Hae guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Committed a criminal act reflecting adversely on his honesty and trustworthiness
  • Failed to keep funds in separate account in a New Jersey Bank
  • Failed to maintain required records for seven years
  • Failed to comply with recordkeeping rules
  • Engaged in the illegal practice of law
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Failed to set forth in writing the basis of a fee

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Hae by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Hae practices with The Baik Law Firm PC at 1100 Vine Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
