Barrister Barnabas Lams of England; ethical elf

The Law Society presented Barnabas Jeffrey Lams with a Barristers license in 1995 after he graduated from the City University School of Law.

The Bar Standards Board found Barney guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Behaved in a way which was likely to diminish the trust and confidence which the public places in him or in the profession
  • Provided supplied legal services to lay clients without being instructed by a professional client or licensed access client
  • Failed to take reasonable steps to manage his practice and to carry out his role in such a way as to achieve compliance with his legal and regulatory obligations

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Barrister Misfits sitting on the Bar Standards Board punished Barney by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and a fine of £750 ($962.00.

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Barney practices with Lincoln House Chambers at 15 New Bridge Street in London, United Kingdom.
