Solicitor John Synnott of Dublin, Ireland; ethical leprechaun

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Violated the rules that states that a solicitor shall not act for a client in connection with any contentious business based on calculating charges on a percentage basis
  • Admitted that he had improperly deducted charges from a client’s settlement based on a 10% solicitor/client fee

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure and fined in the amount of €2,000.

As we speak (ca. July 2020), Johnny practices with John Synnott & Company, Solicitors, at Dame House, 24 Dame Street in Dublin, Ireland.
