Solicitor Valentine Stone of Wexford, Ireland; tax cheat

The Law Society provided Valentine Stone with a solicitor’s license in 1990 after he graduated from Queen’s University School of Law.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Val guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

In one matter, Val failed to disclose the full consideration of £250,000 on the face of it (having deliberately underestimated the actual consideration by £50,000), with the direct intention and effect of defrauding the Revenue Commissioners.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal punished Val by gifting him with a complimentary censure and fined in the amount of €10,000.

As we speak (ca. July 2020), Val practices with Val W. Stone & Co, Solicitors, at 14 North Main Street in Wexford, Ireland.
