Solicitor Michael Butler of Tipperary, Ireland; ethical dwarf

The Law Society provided Michael J. Butler with a solicitor’s license in 1997 after he graduated from Queen’s University School of Law.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to ensure there was furnished to the Society an accountant’s annual report
• Showed disregard for his statutory obligations to comply with the Solicitors’ Accounts Regulations
• Showed disregard for the Society’s statutory obligation to monitor compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts Regulations for the protection of clients and the public

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary censure and fined in the amount of €500.

As we speak (ca. February 2021), Mikey practices with Michael J Butler Solicitors, 42-43 Main Street in Tipperary, Ireland.
