Solicitor Michael Dowling of Kerry, Ireland; slacker, loser

The Law Society provided Michael A. Dowling (MAD) with a solicitor’s license in 1980 after he graduated from Queen’s University School of Law.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to furnish counterpart lease for each apartment in a timely manner or at all
  • Failed to furnish Land Registry-approved scheme map
  • Failed to furnish Memorandum and articles of association of management company
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Mikey!)
  • Failed to furnish Memorandum of agreement between a named company of the one part and the management company of the other part to transfer the common areas
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary censure and fined in the amount of €10,000.

Additionally, Mikey was ordered to pay the sum of €10,000 as restitution to his clients, without prejudice to any legal right they may otherwise have.

As we speak (ca. July 2020), Mikey practices with of Edward O’Sullivan Solicitors, Church Street, Tralee in Kerry, Ireland.
