Attorney Ranjit Walia of Manitoba, CAN; moron, serial offender

The Law Society of Manitoba presented Ranjit Singh Walia with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Manitoba School of Law.

The Manitoba Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Ranjit of engaging in the following misconduct.

Ranjit’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Breached undertaking given to the Complaints Investigation Committee

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel punished Ranjit by gifting him with a complimentary $750.00 fine and assessed costs of $1,250.00. 

Ranjit’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to comply with the trust accounting rules of The Law Society of Manitoba
• Failed to maintain general books and records in respect of his general operating account
• Failed to maintain up to-date trust records
• Computer generated client trust ledger balances did not agree with his manual client trust ledgers

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel punished Ranjit by gifting him with a complimentary $750.00 fine and assessed costs of $5,000.00. 

Ranjit’s 3^rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in conflict of interest

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel punished Ranjit by gifting him with a complimentary $750.00 fine.
