Solicitor Ian McSweeney of Dublin, Ireland; ethical ogre

The Law Society of Ireland presented Ian McSweeney with a law license in 2010 after he graduated from Queen’s University School of Law.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Ian guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Ian!)
  • Faled to attend meetings of the Complaints and Client Relations Committee despite being required to do so (Up yours, said Ian!)
  • Failed to comply with High Court order
  • Failed to inform client of hearing date

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal punished Brendan by gifting him with a complimentary censure, a fine of £3,200 and investigative costs of £1,812.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Brendan practices with Chris Ryan & Co. Solicitors at 18 North King Street in Dublin, Ireland.
