Attorney John Wilson of Whiteland, IN; check bouncing aficianado

The state of Indiana presented John Phillip Wilson with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from Indiana University School of Law.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Violated multiple rules by mismanaging his trust account
  • Wrote several checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to adequately supervise a nonlawyer assistant who was a signatory on the account

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license and was assessed investigative costs of $2,200.00.

Because Attorney Misfits in Indiana are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Johnny was never criminally charged and/or prosecuted for writing bad checks.

As one would suspect, Johnny fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.wilsonandwilsonlegal.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Johnny practices with Wilson & Wilson iat 149 South US 31 in Whiteland, Indiana.
