Attorney Thomas Doyle of Portland, OR; ethical troll

The State of Oregon presented Thomas K. Doyle with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Lewis & Clark School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to respond to client information requests
  • Failed to explain matters to the extent reasonably necessary to permit his client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to communicate offer of settlement to his client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect,  Tommy and his firm fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.bennetthartman.com. Apparently, they decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that she would not limit her future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Tommy practices with Bennett Hartman Morris at 210 SW Morrison Street in Portland, Oregon.
