Judge Edgardo Diaz De Rivera of the Philippines; slacker aficionado

The Philippine Supreme Court provided Edgardo B. Diaz De Rivera with a law license in 1953 after he graduated from the University of the Philippines School of Law.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines found Eddie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in undue delay in disposing of a criminal matter
• Failed to issue ruling in criminal matter for more than three years
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Republic of the Philippines Supreme Court punished Eddie by gifting him with a complimentary P10,000.00 fine.

It should be noted that had Eddie acted in the same negligent manner as a Common Pleas Judge in Ohio or a Superior Court judge in California disciplinary charges would never have been filed against him.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Eddie continue to sit as a Regional Trial Court judge in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines.
