Solicitor Jonathan Hopkins of New Zealand; convicted drunk

The Law Society of New Zealand presented Jonathan Hopkins with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Auckland Law School.

The New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Convicted of driving with excess alcohol
  • Conduct had potential to cause loss or significant inconvenience to another person

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary rebuke and a fine of £750 ($455.00).

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Johnny practices with Michael. W. Halsall Solicitors Limited at 11 The Parks in Newton-Le-Willows, Merseyside, New Zealand.
