Attorney Scott Richardson of Indianapolis, IN; ethical gremlin

The state of Indiana provided Scott Ian Richardson with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Akron School of Law.

FYI: The University of Akron is ranked as the 147th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Scottie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to appear at hearing on client’s behalf re: child support
  • Failed to appear at scheduled status conference
  • Failed to draft order he was ordered to draft by trial court
  • Failed to appear at show cause hearing to determine if the court should find him in contempt
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Scottie by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Scottie practices at 1050 North College Avenue in Indianapolis, Indiana.
