Attorney Donna Hagedorn of Evansville, IN; thieving liar

 

The state of Indiana provided Donna Hagedorn with a law license in 1967 after she graduated from the University of Kentucky School of Law.

 

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Donna guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected the legal affairs of three clients
  • Misrepresented the status of cases to clients
  • Mismanaged funds held in trust for her clients
  • Failed to promptly return the client's file
  • Failed to refund any unearned portion of the retainer (thief)
  • Unlawfully failed to place client social security and supplemental security income checks in a separate account
  • Failed to maintain formal records accounting for funds she gave directly to the ward
  • Took $500 from a guardianship fund as attorney fees without court approval
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to arrange required pre-placement evaluation
  • Failed to terminate the parental rights of the birth mother and the putative father
  • Failed to prepare or file a petition for adoption the respondent
  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron
  • Failed to abide by clients’ decisions regarding the objectives of representation
  • Failed to keep client couple reasonably advised about the status of the adoption
  • Failed to explain matter to allow client to make informed decisions re: representation
  • Purposefully misleading the couple about the course and status of the adoption proceedings
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Donna by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.
