Judge James Blancarte of Los Angeles, CA; incompetent Boob

The state of California presented Kathleen Elna Roberts with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law.

FYI :Former Gov. Jerry Brown was duped into appointing Jimmy as a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge in 2018. Jimmy did not get the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Los Angeles area. He got it because she had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

It should be noted that at the time Gov. Brown appointed Jimmy to the bench, Jimmy was sixty-five (65) years old. Who in the hell gets a new judicial job at the age of 65? Was this done to assure that Jimmy would qualify for a state pension via PERS?

In one matter, Jimmy presided over a case involving a request for a restraining order under the Domestic Violence Protection Act sought by Mohammed Amouchal against Alexis Igor Kutyba. The petition stemmed from an encounter during which Kutyba allegedly pushed Amouchal and threatened him. (Metropolitan News-Enterprise)

Subsequently, the defendant successfully appealed Jimmy’s asinine ruling. In its reversal, the Court of Appeal ruled as follows

• “The court’s [Jimmy’s] failure or refusal to allow Alexis to speak regarding the incident outside the courtroom deprived him of any opportunity to be heard on that dispositive factual issue.”
• “The court [Jimmy] heard Amouchal’s version of the events without permitting Alexis to offer evidence, cross-examine Amouchal, or argue the issue.”
• “Under these circumstances, Alexis was denied a meaningful opportunity to be heard and, therefore, deprived of his right to due process.

Apparently,Jimmy is of the firm belief that “due process” is the

means by which the grass becomes moist in the a.m.

Sadly, this is the kind of jurisprudence you get when someone of Jimmy’s incompetence in the law is appointed because of his political connections rather than on merit.

It goes without saying that Jimmy the Boob  doesn’t much give a damn when he’s overturned (rebuked in truth) by the appellate court since he is well aware that no California judge has ever been tossed off the bench for being an incompetent boob

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Jimmy the Dumbo continues to sit as an Los Angeles County Superior Court judge in Los Angeles, California.
