Attorney Roberta Cross Guns of Helena, MT; contemptuous slacker

The state of Montana presented Roberta Miller Cross Guns with a law license in 1992 after she graduated from the University of Montana School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel of Montana (ODC) found Roberta guilty of the following misconduct.

• Found in contempt of court for repeated failures to comp
• Failed to appear two scheduled court omnibus hearings
• Failed to act with due diligence
• Failed to appear at one scheduled court plea hearing on client’s behalf
• Failed to appear for two scheduled court parental rights termination hearings
• Failed to appear for three scheduled court pretrial hearings
• issued three Orders of Contempt for the Respondent's
• Judge issued orders for Roberta’s failure or tardiness to appear before him in three separate cases
• Court fined Roberta $500 and assessed costs of $1,124.76 on finding of contempt
• Wasted court’s limited resources due to repeated failures to appear for scheduled hearings

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Montana Supreme Court punished Roberta by gifting her with a complimentary admonition.  

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Roberta practices with the Law Office of Roberta Miller Cross Guns in Helena, Montana.
