Attorney Anne Beckert of Chicago, IL; cheating slacker

The state of Wisconsin presented Anne Marie Beckert with a law license in 1986 after she graduated from DePaul University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Anne guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to refund costs to one client (cheater)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Anne!)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel punished Anne by gifting her with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.

As one would suspect, Anne fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on her website at www.abeckertlaw.com. Apparently, Anne chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting her future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Anne practices with Anne Beckert at Law at 1747 West Wallen Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
