U.S. Judge John McBryde of Ft. Worth; certified screwball, total loser   The state of Texas presented John McBryde with a law license in 1969 after he graduated from the University of Texas.
Former President George Bush was duped into appointing Johnny as a U.S. District Court Judge in Forth Worth in 1990. Johnny didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the Fort Worth/Dallas area; he got it because he had acted as a dependable lackey and apple-polisher for the local political hacks for years.
Several years ago the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals sanctioned Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. Johnny’s misconduct involved his screwball conduct on the bench. That conduct led to him being forced to undergo a psychiatric examination.
Because of his penchant to retaliate against those he perceived as the enemy (that’d be anyone that wasn’t nuts), the Judicial Conference banned Johnny from being assigned any new cases for one-year. The Conference also banned Johnny from handling any cases involving 23 attorneys who feared he would retaliate against them.
In an effort to cement his status as a certified screwball, Johnny recently sanctioned three lawyers and recommended that criminal charges be filed against them. The felonious conduct engaged in by these lawyers was to file motions questioning Johnny’s integrity in litigation over golf club patents.
Can it be disputed that Johnny missed his calling as a standup comedian? I think Johnny could give “Gallagher” a run for his money!
Since nutcases like Johnny are appointed for life and can only be removed via impeachment proceedings, the good folks in the Forth Worth area are stuck with this buffoon (my apologies to buffoons) until he’s removed from the courthouse in a wooden robe.
