Attorney Russell Leonard of Monteagle, TN; ethical ogre

The state of Tennessee provided Russell Lee Leonard with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the Nashville School of Law.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Russ guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed disciplinary complaint in former client’s name without the client’s authorization
• Misconduct resulted in significant harm to his clients
• As a result of Russ’s unauthorized filing of complaint v. real estate agent, the agent filed a lawsuit for breach of a settlement agreement and the court awarded him $20,000 against Russ and his clients [victims]

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Russ by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. September 2020) Russ practices at 1016 West Main Street in Monteagle, Tennessee.
