Attorney Stephen Libby of Memphis; slacker, loser

The state of Tennessee provided Stephen F. Libby with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University Memphis School of Law.

FYI: The University of Memphis Law School is ranked as the 155th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Missed statute of limitation for filing of lawsuit on client’s behalf
  • Failed to advise client of failure to file lawsuit prior to tolling of statute of limitation for one year
  • Failed to respond to multiple client inquiries
  • Failed to advise client to seek independent legal advice when he attempted to settle malpractice claim with client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Stevie practices at 5384 Polar Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee.
