Judge Michael Goulding of Toledo, OH; ethical ogre

The state of Ohio presented Michael Robert Charles Goulding with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of Toledo School of Law.

FYI: The University of Toledo Law School is ranked as the 145^th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

Former Gov. John Kasich was duped into appointing Mikey to the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas in 2013. Mikey didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Toledo area. He got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

It should be noted that Mikey has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past twenty-seven (27) years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Toledo area was about to offer him a good paying job.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Mikey’s misconduct related to a teenage criminal defendant who was related to Mikey’s friend
• Mikey improperly interjected himself into a criminal matter regarding a defendant who was charged with several felony counts of Illegal Use of a Minor in a Nudity-Oriented Performance
• Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary
• Failed to avoid impropriety and/or the appearance of impropriety
• Abused his judicial office to advance his personal or economic interests or that of others
• Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Mikey by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. (March 2020), Mikey practices continues to sit as a Lucas County Common Pleas Court Judge in Toledo, Ohio.
