Attorney Douglas Whipple of University Heights, OH; ethical gremlin

The state of Ohio presented Douglas Paul Whipple with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Cleveland State University Law School.

The Doug Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association found Doug guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Threatened to file criminal charges against attorney to gain advantage in civil matter
  • Violated Rules of Professional Conduct by raising questions regarding an attorney’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer
  • Retaliate against a witness
  • Made false statements to the court
  • Motion attacking opposing counsel’s fitness was frivolous
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Doug by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. (March 2020), Doug practices at 13940 Cedar Road in University Heights, Ohio.
