Solicitor Boon Hong of New Zealand; ethical gremlin

The New Zealand Law Society presented Boon Gunn Hong with a Barrister/Solicitor license in 1990 after he graduated from Cambridge University School of Law.

The New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Boon guilty of the following conduct.

  • Guilty of engaging in willful misconduct
  • Willfully guilty of contravention of trust account regulations
  • Obstructed trust account inspector from completing a review (Screw you, said Boon!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Barrister/Solicitor Misfits sitting on the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal punished Boon by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Boon’s First bite at the Barrister/Solicitor Apple Tree. He was previously disciplined on eight (8) separate occasions for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As we speak (ca. July 2020), Boon practices at 1140 Shortland Street in Auckland, New Zealand.
