Attorney Doreen Zankowski of Boston; greedy scammer

The state of Massachusetts presented Doreen M. Zankowski with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from Boston University School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Doreen guilty of the following misconduct.

• Falsely inflated number of hours included on final bills sent to several clients
• Improperly entered her time for work performed by her associates
• Knowingly billed clients for taking depositions she never attended
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Claimed to have worked 3,173 billable hours and 720 non-billable hours in one year

Doreen’s claim of working 3,893 hours in one year doesn’t pass the involuntary laugh test. To believe this sham claim one would have to believe that Doreen averaged working 15.5 hours every day of the year exclusive of Saturdays and Sundays. And this would include her working over the Christmas, New Years and Thanksgiving Holidays.

One thing is patently clear and that is that Doreen missed her calling as a standup comedian.

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Doreen by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.
