Attorney Richard Steagall of Peoria, IL; thieving slacker

The state of Illinois presented Richard Lane Steagall with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from DePaul University Law School.

The Disciplinary Commission found Dick of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with two clients
• Failed to refund an unearned fee to a client [thief]

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary 5-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Guy practices with the Steagall Law Offices at 456 Fulton Street in Peoria, Illinois.
