Attorney W. Lee Autman of Wilmington, DE; moronic loser

The state of Delaware provided W. Lee Autman with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Widener University School of Law.

FYI: Widener is ranked as the 168th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Delaware Supreme court found Lee guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Lee!)
  • Failed to maintain proper financial records
  • Failed to file tax returns
  • Engaged in dishonest conduct in representations made to a governmental agency
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Made false representation to Delaware Supreme Court on his Annual Registration Statement (Up yours, said Lee!)
  • Failed to file answer on client’s behalf in foreclosure action
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to promptly deliver an accounting of funds received on client’s behalf
  • Failed to provide written explanations to client in connection with advanced fees
  • Failed to file or pay various law practice employer and employee payroll taxes owed to federal, state and city tax authorities for five consecutive years
  • Failed to maintain books and records as required
  • Failed to maintain and preserve on a monthly basis hard copy records printed out from his computer of required law practice bank account-related
  • financial information
  • Failed to take action to prepare and record a deed or thereafter transfer client’s real property to the partnership he had set up for her
  • Failed to advise client to obtain appraisals of the value of the property
  • Failed to respond to client’s inquiries about real estate tax bills she was receiving in her name (rather than the partnership’s name)
  • Failed to inform client that her property had not been transferred
  • Falsely notarized client’s signature on agreements of gift
  • Wrote a letter to the City of Rehoboth Beach requesting parking permits based upon the false assertion that there was a 1996 deed transferring the property to his client  and her daughter and son-in-law individually, when in fact, Lee had not prepared or recorded such a deed and had no intention of doing so

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Delaware Supreme Court punished Lee by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2020) Antonia practices at 500 Brighton Road in Wilmington, Delaware.
