Attorney Becky Rooney of Minneapolis; ethical goblin

The state of Minnesota presented Becky Toevs Rooney with a law license in 1988 after she graduated from Hamline University School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Becky guilty of the following misconduct.

• Improperly delegated trust account supervision to disbarred attorney
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to transfer credit card payments into her trust account
• Negligently misappropriated [stole] client funds
• Negligence led to trust account shortages

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Becky by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As one would suspect, Becky fails to mention the above misconduct on his self-serving website at www.btrooneylaw.com. Apparently, she chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.
