Attorney John Koenig of Janesville, WI; thieving loser

The state of Wisconsin presented John F. Koenig with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Davey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Falsified billing statements that he provided to his firm in order to cover up his embezzlement
  • Embezzled over $30,000 from his law firm
  • Received at least $39,920 in legal fees for legal work he performed for clients of his law firm employer or for legal work he performed for other third parties using the firm's time, equipment, supplies, and staff without reporting such fees to the firm
  • Accepted payments from the firm's clients without the firm's knowledge and then cashed those checks at Summit Credit Union where he maintained an account
  • Received money for legal work that he performed for acquaintances who paid him directly, which he failed to report to his firm
  • Quoted and collected fees from clients that were larger than what he reported and turned in to the firm
  • Had clients pay him directly for some or all the work he performed without reporting same to his firm
  • Manually created an invoice for the client that was for a larger amount than that stated by the firm in its accounting system and pocketed the difference between the two invoice amounts

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in Wisconsin are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Johnny was never criminally charged with grand theft or embezzlement.

As we speak (ca. January 2020) Johnny practices with Elder Advisors Law at 101 South Main Street in Janesville, Wisconsin.
