Attorney Shane Boasberg of Austin, TX; ethical troll

The state of Texas presented Shane Michael Boasberg with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from South Texas University School of Law.

FYI: South Texas is ranked as the 165th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The District 9 Grievance Committee found Shane guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected client matter
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Failed to abide by his client’s decision whether to accept a settlement offer
  • Failed to respond to client information requests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Shane by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 4-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Shane.

As one would suspect, Shane fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.law-smb.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. December 2019), Shane practices with The Law Offices of Shane M. Boasberg PC at 408 West 11th Street in Austin, Texas.
