Justice Jefferson Hughes III of New Orleans; ethical troll

The state of Louisiana provided Jefferson D. Hughes with a law license in 1985 after she graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Law.

It should be noted that Jeff has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the twenty-nine (29) years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater New Orleans area was about to offer Jeff a good paying job.

In one matter, while Jeff was sitting as a 21^st Judicial District Court judge, Jeff improperly influenced child abuse and custody case to help the mother who had been a client of the lawyer that Jeff was dating at the time

Subsequently, Jeff wrote apology letters to at least three parties in connection with his egregious misconduct.

As one would suspect, the comedians sitting on the Judicial Commission refused to take any action against Jeff. Apparently, they chose to conceal the way they handled the case.

As we speak (ca. December 2019), Jeff continues to sit as an Associate Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court in New Orleans, Louisiana.
