Attorney John Tennyson of Nashville, TN; cheating slacker

 

The state of Tennessee provided presented John Terrence Tennyson with a law license in 2014 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Law.

 

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to formally withdraw representation as required
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Filed civil action in state court without client’s permission
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Disobeyed obligations under rules of a tribunal
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Billed and/or collected an unreasonable fee (cheater)
  • Ordered to refund $2,500 to client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. February 2020) Johnny practices at 49 Music Square West in Nashville, Tennessee.
