Attorney Francis Parker Jones III of Benton, AR; ethical troll

The state of Arkansas provided Francis Parker Jones III with aw license in 2006 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Fran guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to safeguard $39,750 of client settlement funds to be paid pursuant to an absolute statutory lien for the benefit of the State’s Workers Compensation fund
  • Commingled client and/or third persons funds with personal funds
  • Used means that had no substantial purpose other than to embarrass, delay, or burden a third person, or used methods of obtaining evidence that violated the legal rights of said third person
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Fran by gifting him with a complimentary caution.

As one would suspect, Fran fails to disclose the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.fpjoneslawfirm.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal said information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. December 2019) Fran practices with the Jones Law Firm at 113 West Conway Street in Benton, Arkansas.
