Attorney Herbert Southern of Fayetteville, AR; idiot, repeat offender

The state of Texas presented Herbert Charles Southern a law license in 2012 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Herbie guilty of the following misconduct.

Herbie’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to notify party of receipt of funds owing to third party
• Commingled a party’s fund with personal funds
• Failed to respond to information request re: funds owing to third party
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to abide by client decisions re: representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Herbie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

• Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
• Failed to sufficiently explain legal matters to client
