Attorney Louis Ringger Jr. of Jackson, TN; ethical leprechaun 

The state of Tennessee provided presented Louis William Ringger Jr. with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of Memphis School of Law.

FYI: The University of Memphis Law School is ranked as the 155^th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Louie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Prepared inaccurate contract, deed, and sale agreement for a closing
• Misadvised parties at the closing regarding tax claims
• Failed to pay off tax liens from the proceeds of the closing
• Failed to disclose the existence of liens prior to the closing
• Failed to make a complete accounting
• Misappropriated (stole) trust funds he held after the closing
• Found in willful contempt by the Court of Criminal Appeals in two separate cases for failing to file briefs
• Failed to file motions for extension of time or permission to late file briefs
• Failed to otherwise contact the Court of Criminal Appeals concerning the status of the matter
• Failed to respond to the Court of Criminal Appeals’ orders resulting in show cause orders being issued by the Court of Criminal Appeals against him
• Failed to respond to client information requests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Louie by gifting him with a complimentary 14-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2020) Louie practices at 222 West Baltimore Street in Jackson, Tennessee.
