Attorney Robert Hiatt Jr. of Rock Springs, WY; cheater, repeat offender

The state of Wyoming provided Robert W. Hiatt Jr. with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from the University of Wyoming School of Law.

The Disciplinary Board found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected to pursue client’s child custody and visitation modification matter
  • Failed to maintain adequate communication with client
  • Client ultimately fired Bobby due to his gross negligence
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • After being fired, failed to return $1,500 in unearned portion of fee (cheater)

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Bobby’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary censure for engaging in similar misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Wyoming Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2019), Bobby practices with Hiatt Legal Services at 1014 Pilot Butte Avenue in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
