Attorney Amarjit Dhindsa of British Columbia, CAN; ethical goblin

The Law Society of British Columbia presented Amarjit S. Dhindsa with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from the University of Manitoba School of Law.

The British Columbia Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Amarjit guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to honor trust conditions imposed by purchaser’s lawyer
• Abdicated professional responsibility to maintain client’s file
• Failed to properly delegate tasks to underlings
• Failed to deliver a five-day report detailing he had delivered funds to a lender
• Failed to adequately supervise office staff
• Failed to obtain discharges from a lender in respect of a mortgage and assignment of rents
• Had virtually no oversight over client’s file
• Failed to review client file until he was advised of client’s complaint by Law Society
• Failed to discuss undertakings with his staff or follow up on them
• Failed to prepare any report to comply with rules of professional conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Amarjit by gifting him with a complimentary $5,500 fine plus $2,500.00 in costs.

As one would suspect, Amarjit failed to mention the aforementioned misconduct on his self-serving website at www.abbotsfordrealestatelawyer.com.   Apparenlty, Amarjit decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for fear it would limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. August 2019), Amarjit practices with the Dhindsa Law Corporation at 2838 Garden Street in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada.
