Attorney Florence Yen of British Columbia, CAN; ethical gremlin  

The Law Society of British Columbia presented Florence E. Louie Yen with a law license in 1995 after she graduated from the University of British Columbia School of Law.

The British Columbia Law Society Disciplinary Counsel has charged Flo with engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide any substantial legal services
• Permitted use of firm’s trust accounts to either receive approximately $9,949,688.69 USD and $1,274,764.96 CAD, or disburse approximately $9,949,493.69 USD and $1,274,764.96 CAD, or you did both
• make reasonable inquiries about the circumstances re: subject matter and objectives of her retainer
• Failed to inquire as to the source of the $9.9 million in funds
• Failed to investigate the purpose of the payment of the $9.9 million in funds
• Failed to discover the reason for the payment of the $9.9 million through her firm’s trust accounts
• Failed to make a record of the results of any inquires she made about the circumstances involving the use of her firm’s trust accounts regarding the $9.9 million
• Failed to record receipt of $500,000 in her trust account records
• Failed to record receipt of $1.7 million in her trust account records
• Failed to record receipt of $1.8 million in her trust account records

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Flo by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel.
