Solicitor Mark Pierrepont of Hong Kong; ethical goblin

The Law Society of Hong Kong presented Mark Alexander Pierrepont (MAP) with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Hong Kong School of Law. He also received a law license to practice in England and Wales in 1983.

The Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Mark guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Withdrew money from client account that exceeded total of money held for the time being in said account
• Failed to keep properly written up books and accounts of his firm
• Failed to record in a separate cash book and ledger all dealings of the Firm relating to his practice as a solicitor
• Failed to prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements and monthly client ledger reconciliation statements
• Failed to produce books and accounts of his firm for inspection by the attorney for the Monitoring Accounts of the Law Society (Screw you, said Mark!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary censure and assessed and a fine of HK45,000 ($5,746.00 US). 

As we speak (ca. October 2019), Mark practices with Nigam Arun Associates at 1 Hollywood Road, Central in Hong, Kong.
