Attorney Warren Barnes of Salt Lake City; ethical troll

The State of Utah presented Warren Barnes with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from the University of Utah School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a conflict of interest involving current clients
• Prepared document naming himself as a Successor Trustee re: elderly client’s estate
• Trust document falsely claimed that client waived all potential conflicts
• Failed to put the terms of his role as Trustee in writing in a manner that could be reasonably understood by his
• Client
• Failed to advise the client in writing that she should seek the advice of independent legal counsel

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2019) Warren practices with Warren L. Barnes LLC at 4547 South 700 East in Salt Lake City, Utah.
