Justice D.K. Njagi Marete of Kenya; ethical gremlin

The Judicial Service Commission is investigating D.J. for engaging in the following misconduct.

In May 2019, the Service Commission (JSC) asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to form a tribunal to investigate the conduct of Justice D.K. Njagi Marete. That alleged misconduct is as follows.

• Engaged in gross misconduct
• Acted with bias in dealing with various parties
• Breached the Kenyan Constitution regarding acting impartially
• While intimately aware of the existence of an order in another file on the same subject matter, went ahead and issued orders which had the effect of setting aside the orders of a fellow Judge of coordinate jurisdiction

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Justice Marete by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Service Commission.

As we speak (ca. July 2019), Justice Merete continues to sit as a High Court Justice in Nairobi, Kenya.
