Attorney Christopher Anderson of Naperville, IL; cheating loser

The state of Illinois presented Christopher Craig Anderson a law license in 2011 after he graduated from DePaul University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Commission found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Claimed time beyond what he had spent in handling client matters at $450 per hour
  • While spending 0.3 hours (18 minutes) on a client matter, Chris would claim 0.5 hours (30 minutes), which resulted in overbilling of $90.00 per incident
  • Chris also billed for 2.1 (126 minutes) hours when it took him 1.7 hours (102 minutes), which resulted in overbilling of $180.00 per incident)
  • Firm discovered that Chris’s sham billing amounted to $150,000, which represented 20% of his recorded time
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Anish by gifting him with a complimentary 5-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (May 2019), Chris practices with Anderson Technology Law LLC at 988 Bellaire Court in Naperville, Illinois.
