Attorney Michael Shipwash of Knoxville, TN; moronic cheater

The state of Tennessee provided Michael Scott Shipwash with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from the University of Memphis School of Law.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (Moron)
  • Engaged in prohibited transactions with client
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Never explained to client how his fee would be calculated
  • Deceptive regarding “gift” language he inserted in a contract concerning his fee
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to protect a client under a disability from abuse from her fiduciary
  • Collected an unreasonable fee [cheater]
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Ordered to pay restitution of $141,000.00 to former client [victim]
  • Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of conduct
  • Client [victim] was particularly vulnerable due to her mental and physical disabilities

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Mikey.

As we speak (ca. May 2019) Mikey practices at 1645 Downtown West Blvd in Knoxville, Tennessee.
