Solicitor Peter Brown of Queensland, AUS; ethical leprechaun

The Law Society presented Peter Mitchell Brown with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Dalhousie University School of Law.

The Queensland Civil and Administrative found Pete guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct
  • Failed to act in client’s best interests
  • Failed to provide client with cost agreement
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Borrowed funds from a client
  • Client was elderly and considered vulnerable re: borrowing of funds
  • Failed to meet the expected standards of profession conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Queensland Bar punished Pete by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and a $4,000 fine.

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Pete practices with Browns Lawyers at 79 West Burleigh Road in Burleigh Heads, Queensland, Australia.
